“The estate is beautiful, a true relaxation.”

Owner are very friendly and helpful, always at hand if you need anything. Our apartment was beautiful, clean and well equipped with even a few basics for breakfast provided. The surroundings are amazing for walks in the nature cycling or just laying by the pool all day to the concert of the nature :)

As many guest have already pointed out, the road to the estate is in a very bad shape, but not to the owner's fault. Their part of the road is ok. As it is, it is best if you have a 4x4 off terrain or a high car, such a truck. But we still got used to it and managed to go up and down every day without problems with a VW touran.

The kids enjoyed the swimming pool. The location and the view was excellent. The owner was very helpful and had good recommendations.

The last 2 km road was a little bit steep and bumpy.

Beautiful view, big swimming pool, spacious apartment for six adults and two small kids. We really enjoyed our stay in the Al Casce apartment. The hosts were very helpful and kind.

The kitchen was a bit small but it was nicely equipped. A big of an ‘old’ smell in some of the bedrooms and cupboards.

La tranquillité des lieux. La gentillesse et la serviabilité des hôtes. La piscine et l'accès direct aux sentiers de randonnée ou de VTT. La mise à disposition des draps et serviettes.

L'accès à la location (la route/chemin était particulièrement abîmée quand nous y étions). La nécessité de descendre au village pour laver le linge.

“Nous avons passé un agréable séjour à Montemurlo 1120, Toscane. Nous avons étè enchantés par la beauté du site. L'apartement convenait parfaitement à nos besoins. La baignade dans la magnifique piscine mise à la disposition des locataires était salut”

Notre coin repas à l'extérieur avec une vue imprenable sur la campagne. La tranquilité des lieux. La piscine impeccable. La proximité de Florence.

La connexion wifi ne fonctionnait pas, ni la tv. La clôture pour accéder au site n'ouvrait pas toujours automatiquement et comme la clé ne fonctionnait pas non plus, nous étions obligés de déranger les propriétaires du gîte.

Beautiful location and spacious rooms, lovely and clean pool. The 1st floor was nice and with three bathrooms. Lovely view from the bedrooms.

Dirty and poorly equipped kitchen and dinning room. Road to the farmhouse was badly maintained with lots of big(!) holes and bumps. Wifi only worked at the pool.

Unfortunately the badly maintained paved road had to be fixed by competent authorities, who promissed lots of things but ended up doing nothing. Wifi connection is weak due to the distance from the nearest town. sorry about it! and sorry if you found the kitchen was not perfectly clean, I will see to it personally in the future.

Superbe nature environnante Belle piscine Propriétaire très sympathique parlant le Français Gites dans une ancienne bâtisse très joliment restaurée.

Équipement de la cuisine (poele, casserole ...)un peu léger pour 7 personnes. Un vrai four serait réellement un plus.

Ne manquez pas le restaurant "la taverna della rocca" à Montemurlo: une vue et une cuisine exceptionnelles.

Vi fikk en stor leilighet og beliggenheten var fantastisk med utstikt over det toscanske landskapet og mange muligheter for turer. Velig hyggelig vertskap.

Virkt som om leiligheten vi fikk ikke hadde vært i bruk på en stund, slik at det var en del døde insekter på rommene.

Be om å få se sommerhaven bak hovedhuset, den er trollsk.

The property had a very interesting historical background and we really enjoyed learning about that and seeing the main house. It is so peaceful and relaxing definitely worth a visit. The Olive oil is wonderful.

As with most Italian accommadation extra pillows, particularly for adults, should be provided rather then just one

We feel the property could sell itself more regarding the history of the property and the walks around it. They could produce a small booklet with all the family history and maps of walks etc as there is so much more to learn. And it is so beautiful and very interesting.

After a busy first week Montemurlo provided a relaxing location for the second week of our holiday. Weather beautiful with a refreshing breeze. We swam in the lovely pool, read our books and took a couple of day trips. Dilia was very present & helpful.

The apartment was good value for money and adequate in its facilities. The sheets & towels were clean but I was a bit disappointed with the kitchen facilities. A kettle would be really useful.

Train trip to Florence - get up early and take a train from Prato (free parking) to Florence. You can get a ticket for the tower / dome to overlook the city - worth going early. Gelati all round post climb! Wonderful fragrance at Santa Maria Novella. Worth a visit.

Five spacious appartments, a swimmingpool and many acres. Perfect silence, especially in the evening and at night. And yet only 15 minutes from the village, where you can do all your shopping. A perefect place to stay, if you like reading, swimming, going for a hike and visit Florence or Pistoia once in a while. And the landlord will be glad to show you the farmstead and tell you its history.

Only minor negative points: The partment was clean, but not everywhere. The WiFi / internet is slow.

Apart from Florence (or instead if you want to avoid the crowd), you have to visit Pistoia: beautiful architecture and market.

très grandes pièces, de belles prestations sanitaires la piscine disponible de jour comme de nuit suffisament d'espace et de bain de soleil

le dernier kilomètre est à effectuer en 4x4 malgré l'entretien régulier du chemin par les propriétaires dommage pas de lave linge à disposition sur le site même à partager avec les 5 autres locataires, il faut descendre en ville dans une laverie

pour les amoureux des grands espaces plein de solitude. Ne pas avoir peur pour son véhicule

Je suis désolé que vous ne m'avez pas dit des couvertures, je les aurai changes immédiatement. Sur les araignées, étant dans les bois on peut en trouver quelqun dans les appartements, si j'avais su j'aurais pu faire quelque chose. desolèe meme pour l'odeur d'humiditè, peut etre à cause de la pluie. On n'a pas pu tenir les fenetres ouvertes. Malheureusement, la connexion Internet n'est pas parfait à l'intérieur de la Fornace Piccola, nous allons mettre une antenne plus puissante l'année prochaine. Nous avons eu quelques problèmes avec l'eau en raison des dommages causés au sources par le fortes pluies , heureusement nous avons résolu le problème! Le même problème que nous avions sur la route .... mais enfin ca était seulement 400 mètres .... le reste est pavèe jusqu'au village.

Cadre magnifique, au bout d'un chemin, oliviers, piscine, vue magnifique… Notre appartement était de plein pieds, accès avec l'extérieur, idéal avec des enfants !

“Le bout du monde pour des vacances reposantes”

Merveilleux accueil de la propriétaire qui nous a fait découvrir leur vie et l'histoire de cet ancien domaine. Grand gîte avec beaucoup d'espace et avec une salle de bain par chambre. Piscine propre et grande avec une vue magnifique sur les bois et la vallée. Les jardins et prés environnants sont parfait pour les enfants et les jeux d'extérieur. L'isolement (~10 minutes depuis le village) n'est pas si contraignant et permet de s'échapper de la foule des villes touristiques de la région ce qui est particulièrement agréable en fin de journée.

Nous avons eu quelques problèmes d'eau (réamorcage nécessaire, eau très trouble après de grandes pluies).

Belles ballades à faire directement depuis le gîte. Ne pas manquer la visite de Pistoïa et en particulier la Giostra del Orso (joute hippique où s'affrontent les quartiers de la ville vers la fin Juillet).

Atmosfære, historie, størrelse på leiligheten, utsikten, bassenget, flott historisk omvisning på gården av vertskapet.

Litt lang og kronglete vei opp til huset fra landsbyen.

Handle før du kjører opp første gangen, så slipper du å kjøre opp og ned igjen... Coop i Montemurlo anbefales, flott delikatesseavdeling pluss stort utvalg av alt det andre også!

Superbe vue depuis un bâtiment isolé, en pleine nature,dans un silence complet. Corps de ferme bien tenu et entretenu, piscine agréable, gîte très confortable. Cerise sur le gâteau, une propriétaire très accueillante, à l'écoute, généreuse en conseils et attentive au bien être de ses hôtes.

Accès un peu difficile sur le dernier kilomètre par chemin chaotique.

gite spacieux, bien décoré, très lumineux et pas trop chaud en été. le calme du lieu, la proximité de Florence, la piscine, la classe du gite

seul inconvénient, il manquait un séchoir pour les serviettes. un lave vaisselle et un lave linge seraient des plus.

le plan fourni pour se rendre à l'agriturismo est parfait. on peut suivre les explications en fermant les yeux. Pour vous rendre à Florence, prenez le train de Prato (pratique, rapide et pas cher).

Accueil merveilleux. La propriétaire parle un excellent français et est toujours disponible pour des conseils concernant les visites aux alentours ou les bons restaurants ! La piscine est très grande ainsi que la terrasse et les appartements sont parfaits. La route est un peu cahoteuse mais passée la première fois on oublie. L'endroit est très calme pour se reposer. L'agritourismo domine le paysage toscan, avec une belle piscine à partager. Location simple mais confortable dans un bâtiment ancien, au frais (apprécié pendant les chaleurs de l'été !)

L'équipement de maison est assez basique pour cuisiner. Les draps/serviettes sont fournis mais n'ont pas été changés durant notre séjour (10 jours)

Possibilité d'emprunter des VTT pour parcourir les sentiers environnants. Prendre le train à Prato pour visiter Florence. La location est idéalement située pour visiter Pise (1h), Lucca, Florence, et Sienne (1h15). Lieu Idéal pour alterner farniente et visites! Les propriétaires sont charmants et disponibles pour vous conseiller!

The agritourismo mountain top location is stunning. The apartment we stayed in was spacious, clean and absolutely perfect for our family of five. There is a large Coop in the area for shopping. The pool was AMAZING for our three kids (ages 10, 10 and 9). Internet was always very reliable (really rare in Italy, as I found out). The owners are super friendly and extremely helpful.

The drive up the mountain may seem a little "Norman Bates" but it's totally worth the trek. I wish there was a laundry machine on premises to eliminate (an admittedly) short drive to the public laundromat.

Trek to the Prado Coop (it's larger than Montemurlo's) for an amazing array of meats and fish. You haven't lived until you BBQ'ed on the Sardinian grill fueled by the farms' firewood.

was hard to find and the road was narrow and twisty.

We were so fortunate to be able to see thier private centurys old chaple and home.the view into the back garden was so beautiful it brought tears to my eyes,and remembering it still does.It was a glimpse into history that I and my wife will never forget.after leaving Montemurlo we spent 2 weeks in Rome which was wonderful but our week at montemurlo was different and the highlight of the Italian trip.venture into the small towns around montemurlo!!

Chemin d'accès assez long à partir de Montemurlo (compter une douzaine de minutes sur un chemin étroit, sinueux et en mauvais état) Frais car un peu en altitude

Pratique car se trouve tout près de Prato, d'où on peut accéder à Florence en train très facilement (un train toutes les 1/2 h pour 3,80 eur A/R) - ça évite de rentrer dans la ville et de payer un parking

Dilia is a perfect host, with a warm welcome and a shining smile! perfect in English she helps you out with all questions you may have. we hd the luck to be invited to a party at the Fattoria with all local Italians which was a great evening. we even got a tour of the private chapel (origial 16st century!) and their olive oil is the best!

the weather gould have been a bit warmer but that's out of control.

May be one: better signage on the paths thru the woods; we took a wonderful walk, followed the map we received, but got lost anyway. It took us 1,5 hours extra to get back, and celebrated that with 1,5 bottles of wine ;-)

Needs a kettle!

This is a secluded facility, which suited us fine. It is about 15 minutes up a narrow mountain road. Hence, you need to travel for a meal out. Montemurlo itself is not much to see, but other attractions nearby.

le cadre exceptionnel, la piscine, le calme, l'accueil des propriétaires.Les draps et serviettes de bain et de toilettes sont fournis.

C'est un peu cher. Il n'y a pas d'équipement electro ménager (pas de lave linge, ni lave vaiselle, ni four etc...), mais finalement comme on est sous le charme des vacances on s'en passe!

faire les promenades dans les environs conseillées par les propriétaires, acheter l'huile d'olive de leur production, visiter prato (cathédrale exceptionelle+ musée privé dans une banque où il y a un grand Caravaggio)

Directions to villa were negligent. The house was remote. The equipping of the kitchen totally inadequate. The toaster could only be plugged into socket 10cm from gas hob. We melted the toaster with the open gas flame and caused a fire. Highly dangerous and surely illegal. No wine glasses. No level of luxury. No dishwasher!!! No oven. When house is a long way from restaurants etc the owner must provide a higher level of equipment. Tv was hopeless. Only German or Italian. Internet very patchy and unreliable.

If you want absolute seclusion from the whole world then it's great. If you like to enjoy a cafe , a bit of people watching, trying different restaurants and some casual shopping - then avoid at all costs

About directions, we've had people come from all over the world and no one complained about the pdf map on our site. I agree with you about the socket...it must be changed of place and yes, you are right about the kitchen equipment being quite essential, on the other hand we never said that there was a dishwasher or an oven or wine glasses...actually there are water (larger) glasses and smaller (wine) glasses. We do not claim to be luxury and least of all we have never told anyone that we were at walking distance from the closest town.The satellite tv has worked well for everyone, you could have told me and I would have tried to see what was wrong with your decoder, or maybe I could have told you how to use it. location très agréable, beaux volumes, belles clareté, vue depuis la piscine superbe. on peut vraiment se reposer, le confort au milier de la nature.

pas de local poubelle, on doit les emmener au village nous même.

le propriétaire indique des ballades de VTT, peut vendre des légumes et de l'huile. La propriétaire parle très bien le français, et est très aimable. Je recommande vraiment cette location.

A very beautiful view overlooking Prato. Pool was great, hosts were amazing. Good food and wine nearby.

We loved everything about it, but it was about 10 minutes out of town. Not a problem, but just something to be aware of.

We felt at home here, and wish we would have spent more time. We could be in Florence, Sienna and Piza within an hour, so the location was perfect for us. the kitchen was smaller, but we wanted to experience Italian restaurants, so this wasn't a big deal to us. The pool was big and the views amazing. Would recommend staying here. We hope to return in a few years.

De rand van Prato is industriel, lelijk en onmogelijk om je in te orienteren... Maar 5km naar boven, aan het huisje is het gelukkig een heel andere wereld !

Bierfeest 2de of 3de week van jui in het dorp verder, blijkt achteraf gezien ook bereikbaar wanneer je te voet gaat door de velden.... Bij het huisje blijven en genieten van de zalige rust ! Restaurant La Rocca is ongeveer 20min rijden. Niet duur, heel vriendelijk, lekker. In het weekend soms feestje op het pleintje.

The family that owns this farm is warm and inviting. They helped us with all requests. We loved the quiet of the location and the amazing view.

This is the perfect place to stay with a family. It was spacious and inviting. Our four children loved the pool. We enjoyed dining outside every evening.

Quiet location up in the mountain where a cool wind makes even the hottest summer days enjoyable. The owner is very friendly and helpful.

Was hard to find. GPS did not find the road and the road-signs were not clear. But the owner guided us up to the ressort, so not a real problem.

Beautiful views, pool, fantastic accomodation and facilities. Very helpful and friendly owners that made our stay even more pleasant - the farms tomatoes are a must!!

The pool didnt have a fence when we stayed.

Dont miss the beautiful walks, the tour of the chappel or having dinner by the pool and watching the country side lite up with the small towns below.

“A Truly Wonderful Tuscan Experience”

An excellent, welcoming, friendly and cutural experience. Mama Josie, Sophia, Idilia, Vincenzo and Dilia were all wonderful in catering to our every need and making us feel at home. Welcomed at the main compound with its tree-lined back yard, we viewed the 1000 year old living quarters of this working olive oil farm. Then to the restored peasant's house (now a very nice villa) with swimming pool & magnificent views of Florence & Prato. It was a great location from which to tour Tuscany - an unforgettable experience.

Don't miss the optional in-villa cooking lesson by local chef Gianni, enjoyed while sipping Tuscan wine bottled just down the road. Also, the private chapel with the bust of Pope Paul V in the main compound which was the summer home of the owners. And be sure to stock up on the magnificent olive oil which we are still having shipped to the U.S. directly from the farm.

The nature and views are superb. The owners made our stay personal and we felt hugely welcome.

A more detailed map. And perhaps photographs of the road from the village. We got lost and got directions like "when you drive through the house in the road", which was actually true becuase the buildings were on both sides of the road.

If convenient to the owners, as for a tour and the history of the family and the farm. It is very special.

Wide space around the house. The tree on the field (shown on the website) is impressive. Old chapel of the owners' house is worth looking. Enough space for whole family with friend.

Difficult to find way to the place.

Don't miss the visit of the chapel and snack at the owner's house.
