Une semaine en Toscane à Castelfiorentino 2364 (agritourisme). Accueil inoubliable de Christiano et de sa femme qui sont vraiment charmants et on ne peut plus attentionnés. Appartements très propres et fonctionnels. Un calme royal, un endroit d'une beauté incroyable, entretenu quotidiennement et à merveille. Position centrale pour les visites des principaux sites toscans sur lesquels on peut aussi envisager de se rendre en train. Christiano explique tout cela et bien d'autres choses. Si vous passez par là, vous ne le regretterez pas.

Lovely swimming pool, our 1 year old especially enjoyed going in. Enjoyed eating our evening meal on the terrace with lovely views all round. Useful to have a high chair for the baby. Definitely family friendly.

“Beautiful accommodation on top of a hill”

It is located on top of a hill about 10 minutes driving from the bigger village Castelfiorentino. Closer are a few other small villages that offer things like a local coffee shop and grocery. The agriturismo is beautifully located with a 180 degrees view on the beautiful landscape until the horizon. Breathtaking. It has a large 17m swimming pool which is spacious enough should the 5 appts be occupied and everybody going for a swim. If you as a couple are looking for a place to base yourselves from where you will be visiting places like Florence, Lucca, Sienna or even Pisa, or some of the smaller hill top villages, but also want to enjoy quietness in the beautiful landscape of Tuscany, this is a good spot and good value for money. If you are looking for a place to relax and undertake close to nothing, please note that although it does offer a great apartment, there are no food and drinks on offer, although a baker comes by in the morning with fresh breads etc. So it will take you a few days to have found the local places where you prefer to buy those. Alternatively there are a couple of supermarkets like Coop close by in Castelfiorentino. It is also ideal for young families. Cristiano and his wife Julia are such great hosts of a rare kind. Super friendly and helpful. And honest. And they speak good English. They produce their own wine and olive oil.

Walk a part of the pilgrimage Via Francigena, which passes about 100m from the accommodation. Look on tripadvisor for good nearby restaurants. There are many.

“A beautiful spot in the Tuscan countryside”

We have great memories of our week at Castelfiorentino 2364 - the scenery, the peace and quiet, and hosts who made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. We stayed in Apartment Siena which suited our needs very well - we have a young family with a baby and toddler so it was important for us to have kitchen appliances as well as comfortable beds (including the cot). There is also a laundry room at the side of the building. Everything was very clean and it was very well furnished too. The pool is a very good size and, after a sharp intake of breath, just about warm enough when we stayed at the end of May! Had our kids allowed, we would have loved to have spent more time relaxing on the terrace under the shade enjoying the beautiful views but I guess that's a good excuse to return in a few years time! Cristiano and Giulia speak very good English and are always willing to help - they gave us a lot of good recommendations for travelling in the area and we appreciated the efforts they made to accommodate our little ones, by providing a high chair as well as a cot and cute baby bedding!

Nothing negative to report as such! The only appliance we didn't have that we would have found useful was a kettle (I am British!) but we should have known to pop a travel version in our luggage! For families with kids, there are a couple of flights of stairs to climb but no big deal; the other feature of the building that struck us was the small north facing windows which make the apartment quite dark - but which keep it cool of course in the summer months!

Castelfiorentino 2364 is ideally located for visiting many Tuscan towns, cities and places of interest, including Florence, Siena, Certaldo, San Gimignano, etc. A car is pretty much essential (and a sat nav extremely useful especially at night) and - on Cristiano's advice - the only place we didn't drive to was Florence. That was sound advice - driving to and parking in Siena and San Gimignano was not difficult and was a much easier option than public transport for a family with young kids.

le propriétaire a fait son possible pour nous aider à réparer les vélos. C'était très gentil de sa part. Il nous a aussi amené quelques produits pour notre diner.

l'habitation est constituée d'une série d'appartements : c'est un peu de l'abattage. Le lit et l'aménagement du logement sont spartiates. Pour la connexion internet il faut aller dehors, en face du bureau de location : pas très pratique...

Les clients avaient été un échec à vélo pour l'arrivée ces choses arrivent Les produits achetés sont les produits que nous avons été posées par téléphone pour acheter parce qu'ils ont été en Vélo et Nous leur avons attribué de lui volontiers pour l'empêcher de faire un voyage supplémentaire

We were delighted to stay at Julias and Cristiano's homestead. Castelfiorentino's location allow you to visit Florence, Sienna or Pisa without spending too much time on the road. When it comes to sightseing, Cristiano's advice to use italian train to avoid some important parking fees was also a good one. Ultimately, we choosed to stay more at Castelfiorentino 2364 and visit less, because of the calm and the beauty we found in this agriturismo (we were the only family to rent an appartment this week). Thanks again to the owners, we will definitly come back.

The view from the establishment was amazing especially watching the sunset while sipping a glass of wine. The owners were very friendly and welcoming. The vineyard was open to hike through and the accommodations were great for the cost.

There were not many places to eat at.

Make a point to walk through the vineyard. I recommend watching the sunset while enjoying some wine and I would definitely take a swim in the pool.

Siisti ja huomattavasti kuvausta parempi paikka. Hinta-laatusuhde erinomainen. Omistajapariskunta oli hyvin yställinen ja auttavainen. Uima-allas oli sopiva 6 v. ja 9 v. lapsillemme, jotka nauttivat joka päivä altaalla uimisesta kovassa helteessä.Pihalta upeat näkymät. Leipuritäti kävi joka aamu pihassa myymässä tuoretta leipää, jota saimme nauttia aamiaisella.

Ei mitään.

Siena-asunto oli toisessa kerroksessa, joten aivan pienten lasten kanssa jyrkät rappuset ovat hankalat. Auto välttämätön, jotta pääsee kauppaan ja pizzerioihin.

La vue de la terrasse est tout simplement époustouflante... Le terrain qui borde la piscine est très beau et le vin offert par nos hôte délicieux ! Christiano était toujours présent pour nous donner des informations et parer au moindre problème !

Le reseau télévision ne fonctionnait pas... Isolation sonore entre les appartements pas au top ...

The accommodation was fantastic, the owners were very helpful. Location and therefore access to everything was superb!!

Mosquitoes. Although we did not see many, their bites caused some itchy swellings on our 4-year old. Just bring some repellent.

We stayed out of season and had the place virtually all to ourselves for a week. Lots of space for a 4 and 6 year to run around and explore. It was the last week of the grape harvest in which we all participated.

The owners were awesome. Spoke English very well. Apartment Pisa was more than enough room for a couple.

Internet was not available in our room. Only directly outside of the office. We normally sat outside at night to look up the next days activities.

Our favorite meal the entire two weeks we were in Italy was from cafe dell ozio. It's about 15 minutes away. I'm sure the owners can give you directions.

A környezet csodálatos, az apartman ablakából lenyűgöző a kilátás. Szépen rendben tartott kert és egy kellemes medence várja a vendégeket. Minden érdekes látnivaló viszonyleg elérhető távolságra van. A tulajdonos, Cristiano, szívesen megmutatja a házat körülvevő gyönyörű birtokot és mindenben segít.

Az apartmanok felszerelése lehetne egy kicsit jobb. Nincs egy kávéfőző, vagy egy mikro, és a fürdőszobába is elférne még egy-két kisebb polc a piperének.

Feltétlen meg kell kóstolni a tulajdonos, Cristiano vörösborát és érdemes egy sétát tenni a birtokon. Nem könnyű megtalálni a helyet, főleg egy hosszú autóútat követően és a leírás, amit kaptunk valahogy nem működött. Lehet persze, hogy ez a mi hibánk volt. Mindenképpen ajánlatos egy részletes toszkán térképet beszerezni, mert ha kisebb településeket is meg akar nézni az ember, azok a nagy térképen nem találhatók meg és elég nehéz eligazodni az útjelző táblákon. Mi elég sokat bolyongtunk össze-vissza. Persze a táj gyönyörű és még ez is élvezetes. Érdemes megnézni Certaldo-t, régi középkori város, ahová sikló visz fel.

> the insects bite during the day! take enough preventive things with you as I had around 20 bites - but of course this has nothing to do with the accomodation itself

- Within two kilometers you have a nice pizzeria where you can eat very cheap and very good. - In San Gimignano you can eat the best ice cream and rent a vespa which we really can recomand. - Be carefull when buying ice cream in Firenze, we paid 16(!) euro for two ice creams with only two flavours. Compared to the smaller villages in the neigbourhoud, Firenze is quite expensive. - I was not aware that the electricity supply was different in Italy (compared to Belgium), but the owners had adapters to help us out

Bring your bug spray... you'll need it in the evening and at night

A wonderful, all be it, simple accomidation for a care-free holiday in the middle of Tuscany. It has everything you need to relax though and the owners are fantastic and super friendly. It is perfectly situated and you are very close to the best that Tuscany has to offer. We went to Pisa and San Gilimgano. Both were an easy drive and great with the kids. Otherwise, there are great walks and lots to explore directly from your appartment. Florence is easily reached via train.

Our hosts were very gracious, both helpful and knowledgable. Lovely location, grounds and facilities. Good value for money.

The following should be added: wine glasses, microwave or oven, hair dryer, soap dishes in bathroom and shower, more waste containers and en suite wireless Internet.

Bring a hair dryer and wine glaases. Ask for the wine tour (the agriturismo is part of a working winery).

Nice place in the center of triangle Florence-Pisa-Sienna, so that most points of interest are within an hour distance. Property and surrounding are awesome. Owners, Cristiano and Julia, are really kind and open for any question, advice or recommendation. Interior of the house is quite good, all rooms in 4 beds apartment are spacious, only the bathroom is a bit small (especially the shower cabin) but this really does not spoil the overall impression.

Wireless connection is functional only in the immediate vicinity of the reception room (read: outside of the house). However, this should be an advantage in some cases!

Don't miss out to visit Lucca even though it is not mentioned in your local tourist guide!
